Batimatec 2008

BATIMATEC Algeria is a construction, building and technology exhibition which we have participated for the first time in May, 2008. It is an important exhibition with the highest number of participants in the region and a meeting ground for international companies.

Apart from approximately 400 Algerian companies, 309 companies from Germany, Saudia Arabia, Austria, Belgium, China, Egypt, Spain, France, England, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Poland, Portugal, Tunusia and Turkey participated in the exhibition. There were 101 companies from Turkey.

In economic measures, Algearia is 14th in oil reserves and 8th in natural gas reserves in the world.

Algeria is in a great breakthrough in construction business particularly with housing and infrastructure investments. Housing construction is actively continuing with the participation of Turkish companies to eliminate housing deficit which is estimated to be two million. These large projects are conducted by foreign companies themselves or in partnership with Algerian companies as private or government construction companies are not sufficient in technology, capacity, experience and qualified staff.
